An exhibition inside an arch?
It may be hard to believe, but inside the Wellington Arch in London used to be the capital’s smallest police station, and it now houses the Quadriga Gallery of English Heritage
Between 7th November 2012 and 13th January 2013, an exhibition was held linked to the launch of Egypt in England, the book exploring how Ancient Egypt has influenced British culture over the centuries, and particularly its architecture and interiors. There were sections on Pharaohs in Fashion, Travellers and Collectors, Cities of the Dead, Temples of the Twentieth Century, Retail Residential and Rainwater, and Cleopatra’s Needle.
